Billie Eilish calls out Elon Musk, labels him ‘pathetic’

Billie Eilish reignited criticism of the ultra-wealthy, using her Instagram stories to highlight calls for billionaires to use their fortunes to address global crises.

The singer reshared posts from the European feminist group My Voice, My Choice, which outlined how Musk’s wealth could be redirected toward ending world hunger, protecting endangered species, or helping rebuild Gaza. One slide referenced a UN estimate that around $40 billion a year could prevent famine for tens of millions of people.

Eilish later escalated her commentary, calling Musk a “pathetic and coward” in a follow-up slide, doubling down on her earlier viral remarks urging billionaires to give away their money.

Her latest posts come weeks after she used her WSJ Magazine Innovator Award speech to question the very idea of extreme wealth, noting, “If you are a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?” She also announced she would donate $11.5 million from her recent tour to climate and social justice causes.
