Singer Asim Azhar is calling out entertainment news pages for misleading the public by sharing an old video and portraying it as recent. The clip in question is likely of his of his ex-fiancée, actress Merub Ali. The video shows Ali singing along to ‘Dosti Aisa Naata’ during one of his earlier concerts. It recently resurfaced on multiple local entertainment accounts, with many implying it was from a recent concert.

Azhar took to his Instagram stories to set the record straight, clarifying that the video is old and expressing disappointment over what he described as “misleading” reporting by popular pages.

“With all due respect, I want to address a few entertainment pages that have been posting an old video, misleading the public. I really expect better reporting in the name of journalism,” he wrote.

Ending the note with a tongue-in-cheek remark, he wrote, “It’s not like I haven’t been giving enough content anyway, what was the point of this?”
