Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in final negotiations to join The Batman Part II, prompting widespread speculation about the character she may portray.
Rumours began circulating online in recent hours, and Deadline has now stated that the 41-year-old actress is in “final negotiations with the studio and director Matt Reeves” for a role in the anticipated sequel.
The production has not revealed which character Johansson is being considered for, leaving fans to exchange guesses across Reddit threads and social platforms. Popular suggestions include Andrea Beaumont, also known as The Phantasm, a character long associated with emotionally complex storylines, and Poison Ivy, one of Gotham’s most recognisable figures.
Robert Pattinson is set to return as Bruce Wayne and Batman, continuing the darker interpretation launched in the first film. The Batman Part II is currently scheduled for release on October 1, 2027.
