Actress Meera has reportedly been admitted to a psychological hospital in New York following severe mental distress.

The admission reportedly occurred at Montefiore Medical Centre in the United States during treatment for psychological strain. Sources say the stress developed while she was filming an upcoming thriller scheduled for Eid 2026 release. The film is being directed by renowned actor Shaan Shahid.

According to reports, the project required Meera to perform emotionally intense scenes with psychologically demanding depth.
