Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem to star in romantic comedy 'Hello & Paris'

Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem are set to star in Hello & Paris, a romantic comedy inspired by Deborah McKinlay’s novel That Part Was True. The film is described as being “in the vein of Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and You’ve Got Mail”, signalling a character-driven story grounded in romance and connection.

According to the official synopsis, “After a prickly first encounter in Paris, a fiercely independent landscape architect and a crisis-ridden bestselling novelist begin a sparky, transatlantic exchange over books and recipes – only to discover that the one thing harder than being alone might be choosing not to be”.

Hello & Paris marks Hudson’s first project since earning an Oscar nomination last month for her performance opposite Hugh Jackman in Craig Brewer’s Song Sung Blue. Bardem, a four-time Oscar nominee and winner, is best known for dramatic roles but has previously appeared in romantic comedy-dramas including Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Eat Pray Love.
