Hollywood icon Halle Berry has officially confirmed that she and Grammy-winning musician Van Hunt are engaged after dating for nearly six years.

The 59-year-old Oscar winner clarified the news during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, addressing months of mixed reports about whether she had accepted Hunt’s proposal. Berry showed off her engagement ring on live television and confirmed that she did say ‘yes’ to Hunt, though the couple has not yet set a wedding date.

“There’s some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said ‘no’,” Berry said on the show. “No, that’s not the case. I did not say no. We just don’t have a date. But of course, I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.”

Berry and Hunt first made their relationship public in 2020, after meeting during the COVID-19 pandemic through Hunt’s brother. The couple has maintained a steady and supportive partnership ever since, often appearing together at red carpet events and sharing glimpses of their life as a family unit.
