Saba Hameed shared that she slapped Hiba Bukhari for real in a drama scene on the director’s insistence, later apologising and calling it an unpleasant but character-driven act. The senior actress has revealed the real story behind slapping the younger actress during a drama scene.

Recently, the actress appeared on a private channel’s comedy show where she openly spoke about the incident of slapping Bukhari in a scene from the drama Fitoor. Hameed shared that she usually does not slap co-actors for real in dramas as she is skilled at “cheating” the shot to make it look realistic. However, she said that if a director insists on authenticity, she has no choice but to comply.

She explained that in that particular scene, the director wanted a real slap for the sake of realism. “I slapped her and later apologised because it was quite hard. When you are asked to do it for real, you cannot cheat the shot,” she said. Hameed further added that such moments are never pleasant for any actor.
