Pakistan is gearing up for its first-ever rap reality show, set to premiere later this month, after the official page released a teaser offering audiences a glimpse of what to expect. The competition will feature 12 up-and-coming rappers battling for the title of “Rap Icon” across 10 episodes.

The newly released promo features rap stars Talha Anjum and Bohemia as judges, alongside a lineup of aspiring rappers competing in intense battle-rap performances.

Styled with flashy jewellery, dramatic visuals, and high-energy stage performances, the teaser shows contestants dissing their opponents in classic rap battle fashion. The promo also confirmed that the show will begin streaming on YouTube from end of May.

The announcement comes after an earlier delay, as the series was initially expected to release around Eidul Fitr.

Throughout the competition, contestants will face a series of rap-focused challenges centred on different themes, styles, and performance formats. Participants will be eliminated gradually, with the strongest contenders advancing to the grand finale.

The upcoming rap competition is expected to create new space for rap culture within Pakistan’s mainstream entertainment industry while giving emerging artists a national platform.
