Feroze Khan believes criticism for the sake of criticism is detrimental for artists.

In a lengthy note posted on Instagram, the actor said people who had no “knowledge or insight” into the craft were on YouTube reviewing dramas.

Feroze said it’s “easy to criticise and pass comments” without understanding the hard work that goes into such projects and without knowing the value artists bring. “I simply want to say that every artist, actor, writer, and creator deserves respect and encouragement,” the actor wrote.

He also made it clear that he was not against critique from people who knew what they were talking about. “Constructive criticism is always welcome, but negativity without understanding can deeply affect people who work day and night for their art.”

Feroze asked his own fans to lend their support to artists who faced such harsh and unfair judgement and show them the kindness and positivity everyone needs and deserves. The actor thanked everyone for paying attention to what was “just a little note from my heart.”
