An exhibition honouring Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, has opened at Istanbul’s Rami Library under the title “The Founding Memory of a Nation.” Organised by the Pakistani Embassy in Ankara in collaboration with Türkiye’s Albayrak Group, the exhibition highlights Jinnah’s life, leadership, and contributions through historical photographs and a documentary.
The opening ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye Yusuf Junaid, Istanbul Deputy Governor Mehmet Sulun, academics, and other dignitaries. Junaid said Jinnah’s principles continue to offer lessons beyond Pakistan, stating, “Jinnah's vision and leadership principles contain enduring lessons not only for Pakistan but for the entire modern world.”
He emphasised Jinnah’s commitment to constitutional politics, justice, and representation, describing his approach as “a constitutional process based on justice and representation, not a stage for spectacle.”
Sulun praised Jinnah’s legacy of unity, justice, and rule of law, noting the strong bond between Türkiye and Pakistan as “one nation, two states.” The exhibition also explores Jinnah’s connection with Turkish history and remains open to visitors at the Rami Library.
