Taylor Swift’s secret behind ‘Toy Story 5’ song revealed

Taylor Swift has revealed that she wrote and produced I Knew It, I Knew You, the end-credits song for Toy Story 5, in a single day after being inspired by the film.

The singer-songwriter shared the story in a video posted on X, where she described an intense creative burst following an early screening of the latest Pixar movie. Swift explained that she watched Toy Story 5 in the morning and immediately felt inspired to begin working on music for the project.

According to Swift, she returned home after the screening and quickly began writing the song before moving into production and vocal recording sessions later that same day. In the video, she jokingly described the experience as getting the “songwriter zoomies,” adding that it became one of the most enjoyable creative days she has experienced.

The track reportedly draws inspiration from Jessie, the beloved cowgirl character from the Toy Story franchise, and features a sound that reflects Swift’s country music roots.
