Robert Pattinson has revealed he could not resist teasing Tom Holland while the pair trained for Christopher Nolan's epic The Odyssey, joking that his younger co-star looked "too good" with a sword and even telling him, "I want to be your daddy".

Speaking to CinemaBlend while promoting The Odyssey, Pattinson recalled watching Holland throw himself into the film's intensive combat training, admitting he decided to have a little fun at the Spider-Man star's expense.

"I was just winding him up," Pattinson said, explaining that he jokingly criticised Holland's sword-fighting technique despite being impressed by his dedication. He added that Holland took the comments in good spirits as the cast bonded throughout production.

The actor praised Holland's work ethic, saying he approached the role with remarkable commitment and quickly adapted to the film's rigorous action sequences.
