Liam Payne's son Bear named sole heir to singer's $28m estate

Court documents reportedly show that Liam Payne's nine-year-old son, Bear Grey Payne, has been named the sole beneficiary of the late singer's estate, which is valued at nearly $28 million.

According to reports, most of the estate will be held in a trust until Bear turns 18, although a small portion of the funds can reportedly be accessed before then.

Payne died in October 2024 at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. As he did not leave a will, his former partner Cheryl and music lawyer Richard Bray were appointed administrators of his estate.

Bear was born in March 2017 during Payne's relationship with Cheryl, which began in 2016. Although the couple announced their separation in July 2018, they said at the time that their son remained "our world" and asked for privacy as they continued to co-parent.

The reported inheritance ensures that Bear will become the beneficiary of Payne's estate, with the trust intended to manage the assets until he reaches adulthood.
