Hugh Jackman has opened up about the future of Wolverine, revealing that he has no intention of offering advice to the actor who eventually takes over one of Marvel's most iconic roles. Instead, the longtime star believes the next performer should have the freedom to create a unique interpretation of the beloved X Men character.

Speaking to Project Big Screen, Jackman reflected on his extraordinary journey as Logan, a role he first played in X Men in 2000. "I’m 57. I’m doing it till I’m 90," Jackman said with a laugh before explaining why he would never leave behind a guide for his successor. "I’m not going to say anything to whoever plays him, because no one said anything to me, which I really am thrilled about."

The Oscar-nominated actor revealed, "I had not read the comics, so I was just coming to it fresh," Jackman continued, "I learned a lot over the years." Jackman's comments arrive as Marvel continues laying the groundwork for the future of the X Men franchise within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
