Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office after just six days in cinemas, becoming the second-fastest film in history to reach the milestone, behind only Avengers: Endgame.

The Marvel and Sony blockbuster has grossed $1.01 billion worldwide, including $372 million in North America and $638 million from international markets. The record-breaking haul comes after the film posted the second-biggest domestic opening weekend of all time, earning $355 million in the US and Canada.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Sadie Sink. It follows Spider-Man as he embraces a new chapter after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, balancing life as a street-level hero while confronting dangerous new threats.

The latest milestone adds to an extraordinary run for Brand New Day, which narrowly missed Avengers: Endgame's all-time domestic opening weekend record by just $2 million.
