The next James Bond actor could be revealed before the end of 2026, according to producer Amy Pascal, as Amazon MGM Studios continues its search for the new 007.
The iconic spy franchise has been without a leading actor since Daniel Craig's final appearance as James Bond in No Time to Die in 2021. Following Craig's departure, fans have been waiting for details about the future direction of the James Bond series.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Pascal suggested that an official announcement regarding the next Bond casting could arrive later this year. While she did not confirm a specific date, she said "the end of the year is a good bet" for revealing the actor who will take over the legendary role.
Pascal explained that the casting process has been highly detailed, with producers looking for someone who can bring a fresh and exciting approach to James Bond. She acknowledged that Daniel Craig set a high standard during his tenure and said the next actor must offer something "really different."
Several actors have been linked to the 007 role, including Callum Turner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jacob Elordi and Tom Francis. Idris Elba, another frequently discussed candidate, previously ruled himself out of consideration.
