A Free Eye Camp for underserved communities was successfully organized on Friday, 14th August 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Madarsah Haider e Karrar¡ Ahsanabad, Karachi, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Karachi Defence¡ Site Superhighway Association of Industries, Karachi and Al-Rehman Medical Centre¡ Quetta Town Karachi?

The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the local community, with 281 patients receiving comprehensive eye examinations on an outpatient basis. Screening focused on the detection of cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors and Low Vision, ensuring early diagnosis and timely care.

As a result of the screening, 20 eyes of 16 patients were identified with cataract¡ including two young children with ages 14 and 15 and have been scheduled for free cataract surgeries on Saturday, 15th August 2026, at Al-Rehman Medical Centre, Quetta Town, Mainv Super Highway. In addition, 52 patients were provided with refractive glasses, instantly improving their quality of life.

Curative medical treatment with Eye drops and ointments were provided on the spot, while patients requiring advanced surgical care were smoothly referred to the medical center¡ where Cataract Surgeries with Intra Ocular Lenses implants¡ performed today on 15th of August¡ 2026? All medical consultations, medicines, spectacles, and surgical procedures¡ provided completely free of cost, reaffirming the organizers’ commitment to serving humanity.

This noble initiative reflects a strong dedication to community welfare and the prevention of avoidable blindness, bringing clear vision, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
