A cine-lover has a lot to enjoy during this Eid break. From family entertainers to thrilling adventures, here is a rundown of the movies releasing this festive time of the year!

7 Din Mohabbat In

Starring queen of the hearts, Mahira Khan and oh-so-dashing Shehryar Munawar in lead roles, the story of this rom-com follows a young man who is on a quest to find his true love in a crowded Karachi neighbourhood overcoming all the major obstacles. The flick is packed with twists and turns, offering a tint of comedy, drama and romance. Add it to your must watch list this Eid!


The story is about a man who sacrifices it all for the freedom of Kashmir and how his vision is carried forward by the young people he inspires. The cast includes the talented Moammar Rana, Sonya Hussyn and Nadeem Baig in lead roles. The movie appears to be one of a kind with top notch action sequences and stunts and will also include drama, providing a complete entertainment package for all age groups.

Na Band Na Baraati

The family drama is about the life of two brothers and their Canadian family. The movie describes the perks of love and married life and how it relates to most of the people in Pakistan, as well as offers a mixture of romance and comedy.


There is action, there is mystery and there are thrills. Wajood stars Danish Taimoor and Saeeda Imtiaz in leading roles, and also features Aditi Singh from India. It seems to be a revenge thriller and has also been labelled as a “violent love story” by the director of the film. All in all, it is expected to be a different take on typical love stories.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The new instalment of Jurassic World seems like a must watch for people who seek action and thrill in a movie. Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen and Claire return to the island. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinos while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.

Ocean’s 8

It is an all-female crime thriller. Upon release from prison, Debbie, the estranged sister of legendary conman Danny Ocean, puts together a team of unstoppable crooks to pull off the heist of the century. Their goal is New York City's annual Met Gala, and a necklace worth in excess of 150 million dollars.
