Janhvi Kapoor made her promising debut this year with Dhadak alongside Ishaan Khatter. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie was an adaptation of the 2016 superhit Marathi film Sairat, where Janhvi impressed the audience as Parthavi and her chemistry with Ishaan was adorable.

Now, the actress has a very big film in her hands – Karan Johar's directorial Takht. Her first film was also produced by KJo's Dharma Productions and now she will yet again work with Karan. While talking to the press, Jahnvi expressed her joy of being a part of Karan's directorial. The young starlet said, “It's overwhelming. I still pinch myself to believe this. I am so excited and happy to start the shoot and work on that film. But, I am constantly thinking about it, and sharing the screen space with these actors, they are so gifted. And I have looked up to them.”

She added, “I wouldn't have been happier to be directed by Karan. What excites me the most is that he has so much knowledge. To even be on the set with him is fortunate. So, I am really excited.”

Takht has an ensemble cast with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar, and is slated to release in 2020.
