Glitter, eyes that pop, light-filled touches, glossy lips… the coming season promises a twisted take on some old faves. So go on, have some fun playing with your beauty looks!

Super Lashes

For autumn/winter 2018, if you're going to wear mascara, wear a lot of it. Fluttering lashes should be the focus of your ultra-feminine beauty looks. Pair with glowing skin and a dab of lip balm to keep the look modern.

Coloured Liner

A simple application of eyeliner is a quick way to look like you mean business. Think about adding a hint of bright hues to your eyes in the form of coloured eyeliner, be it blue, emerald green or brown. The creamy version will do wonders in dry weather. Use an eye brush to rim the inner part of your lash lines. Pair with natural-looking skin and you are set to go.

Glitter High

Top beauticians are hinting that the sparkly stuff will make a comeback and will shine this fall. For a more subtle take on the trend, opt for the gold-smattered cheekbones.

For a more dramatic look, soak up the glitter with your brush then spread it generously on your cheeks. But to ensure proper balance, make sure you only apply it to a single area (unless you’re going all out for a special evening!). And when greater discretion is called for, opt for natural skin tones and subtle accents.

Sorbet Gloss

A must-have look from the season’s runway: shimmering lips with that ‘just bitten’ effect. They’re a great way to keep your lips looking summer fresh.

Go for softer, subtler colours that lean towards pastels, like peach or rose. Pay close attention to the texture, too, using glossy finishes that mimic the lustrous effect of vinyl.

Illuminated Eyes

As the days get shorter, it’s time to give our eyes a little wake-up call. This season’s solution? A touch of white eye shadow in the inner corner of the eye. Your choice: matte or iridescent. Either way, all eyes will be on yours!

Use a small brush or the pointed end of a sponge to apply the eye shadow, then blend it in slightly. Add a little illuminator to your cheekbones and the your Cupid’s bow, for some more glam.
