THE VOICES BEHIND THE ICONIC CHARACTERS LOOK BACK- AS THE PRINCESSES UNITE ONSCREEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET

From The Little Mermaid (1989)
Voiced by Jodi Benson

When the Broadway star, 57, auditioned, she had no idea the movie would be a megahit. “Now we’re onto our third generation of fans,” she says. “It’s a privilege to bring grandparents back to where they were then.”

From Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Voiced by Paige O’Hara

O’Hara, 62, another Broadway vet, says when kids are told she’s Belle, they don’t believe it. “I’ll tell them to close their eyes, and say, “Gaston, you’re positively primeval! Their eyes will go as big as saucers.”

From Mulan (1989)
Voiced by Ming-Na Wen

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, actress Wen, 54, is still proud to be Mulan. “To have Disney take a risk in the ‘90s, having an ethnic character as the star… for it to become successful and have such impact is insane,” she says.

From The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Voiced by Anika Noni Rose

The stage and screen actress, 46, says her role, the first black princess, “had an amazing impact on the black community. I had a man come up to me crying because he could buy this doll for his granddaughter.”

From Aladdin (1992)
Voiced by Linda Larkin

“Little kids have a great ear and recognize my voice,” says the veteran voice actress, 48. “I’ll see them whip their heads around and then be like, ‘Wait, I don’t know you. ‘I’m like, “Oh, but you do. I just can’t tell you how.”

From Pocahontas (1995)
Voiced by Irene Bedard

Bedard, 51, who’s of Inuit and Cree descent, portrayed Disney’s first Native American princess, and the character was physically modeled partly after her. She still acts but says Pocahontas is the role “that follows me around.”

From Tangled (2010)
Voiced by Mandy Moore

The This Is Us star, 34, loves being a part of the Disney princess sisterhood. “To be a part of this lineage…it’s an incredible privilege,” she said. “And I get to be at the [Disney] parks! That’s kind of fun.”

From Brave (2012)
Voiced by Kelly Macdonald

Macdonald’s fiery Scottish Princess Merida was an ace with archery, but “I’m the only Disney princess who doesn’t sing!” says the Glasgow-born actress, 42. “So I don’t feel fully fledged.”
