Jewellery inspirations from the Golden Globes’

The Golden Globes kicked off had a showdown last week in a show of jewellery diamonds and one-of-a-kind coloured gems that gave a taste of what is to come in the run up to this year's Oscars. Here is drawing inspirations from the ravishing divas who strutted the red carpet in exquisite jewels.

Rachel Weisz

While long earrings once again dominated the evening, necklaces had a look in elsewhere as well. Nominee Rachel Weisz channeled her character in The Favourite, the ribbon choker-wearing Duchess of Marlborough, with a Cartier high jewellery choker in a maison-classic combination of onyx, coral and diamonds.

Emilia Clarke

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke in a Harry Winston V-Shape 18.91-carat platinum and diamond choker and 6.32-carat emerald-cut diamond and platinum studs.

Lady Gaga Nominee

Lady Gaga undoubtedly ruled the red carpet in a Tiffany diamond necklace that was custom made especially for her. A show-stopping accompaniment to her periwinkle Valentino gown, the Tiffany Aurora necklace featured more than 300 sustainably sourced brilliant diamonds, including a 20-carat pear-shaped diamond at the centre.

Dakota Johnson

The actress wore Nirav Modi earrings featuring a cascade of diamonds in various shapes.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain, the long-time ambassador for Piaget, wore the brand’s stunning Limelight Rose Passion earrings in white gold set with approximately 6.81-carats of brilliant-cut diamonds and around 12-carats of marquise-cut diamonds and 3-carats of pear-shaped diamonds.

Lupita Nyong'o

The actress looked magnificent in Bulgari showing that diamonds prevailed once again as the go-to gem on the red carpet.

Julia Roberts

Diamonds are indeed a girl’s best friend! Like Julia Roberts in Chopard proved so. The Pretty woman wore a nude asymmetrical shoulder gown and looked heavenly in tear-drop tailing earrings.
