How many of us live with the unfortunate tastes of our parents (or whoever did the honours) in picking out a name we have to carry with us, even if we don’t like it. Changing your name might be stressful and even arduous but we are always at liberty to pick a nickname out for ourselves, be it however unorthodox, unconventional, creative or silly. We take the question to our celebrities, take a look at what they got to say.

Ahmed Ali Akbar: If I was rapper I'd call myself "'A' Cube".

Shamoon Abbasi: People call me Shaam, I don’t think I need another one.

Daniyal Rahael: His Majesty supercalafrajalisticexpialeedoshous (and I’d make my friends say it every time they want me to respond).

Nida Khan: Simba. It means lion in Swahili.

Anoushay Ashraf: BiBi.

Sparlay Rawail: With a name like mine there isn’t a need for a nickname, I just wish people would pronounce it correctly.

Nomi Ansari: Know me.
