As the Pakistani film industry stretches its wings to take big flights with ambitious projects, more TV artists are venturing into cinematic climes. Actor and musician Junaid Khan from Call The Band and drama serial Hania, is all set to make his debut as a leading man opposite Mansha Pasha. According to reports, the versatile artist will be working on the project titled Kahay Dil Jidhar, a feature film helmed by TVC director Jalal Rumi and produced by Kamran Bari. Speaking to the press, Junaid shares that he is playing a character that he has never done before.

“I’m playing, Sheheryar, who is a police officer. The film holds a strong message about the issues that plague our society,” Junaid said about the role.

“I have been offered a lot of films since my cameo appearance in Bin Roye in 2014, but to be honest I was waiting for the right team and a good script. Finally, I took the leap of faith and decided to move to the big screen,” he says.
