Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to visit Pakistan this month!

ROYAL VISITS

We are not bluffing. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, will be paying a brief visit to Pakistan this October. The news has been confirmed by The Kensington Palace in a tweet sent out earlier.

Kensington Palace made an announcement that on this visit by the British royal family to Pakistan, the Duke and Duchess will be attending a special event at the Aga Khan Centre which is hosted by Aga Khan the IV. Although, no fixed date has yet been decided for the visit. The visit has been planned at the request of Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and it will be a gesture of maintaining strong bonds between Pakistan and Britain. Pakistan’s envoy to Britain, Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, has expressed his gratitude for the visit and extended a warm welcome to the royals. “Government and the people of Pakistan warmly welcome the announcement of the Royal visit by TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Pakistan this year,” he tweeted, back in June when the visit was first announced.

Even though a fixed date hasn’t been given but the official visit is expected to take place between 14th to 18th October. This much-awaited visits comes 13 years after the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Charles and Camilla visited Pakistan in 2006.
