Sarmad Khoosat discloses characters from Zindagi Tamasha


Sarmad Khoosat, the directional maestro has been on a roll. The director recently wrapped up one of his upcoming films – Zindagi Tamasha – and way before it's release, Sarmad announced the release of another project titled, Kamli. Zindagi Tamasha happens to be Khoosat’s first ever Punjabi film, which is also his first production under Khoosat Films. The film features Arif Hasan, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Sulelman and Ali Kureishi in leading roles. Sarmad has finally disclosed a few glimpses of the film’s characters on his Instagram. He opened up about the film and drama actress Samiya Mumtaz’s character who will be seen playing a lady named Farkhanda in the film. Samiya plays the role of an ill woman who likes to be in extreme solitary and has a pretty insolent humour. He introduced another character, Rahat, “a naatkhawan [who] enjoys a celebrity status amongst the community in the old city of Lahore. He is a devout Muslim, who, in the eyes of everyone is a superhuman incapable of any sacrilege. Hence, when he does wrong there is no forgiveness for him.”

Sarmad has not yet revealed anything about Eman Suleman’s character in the film. The film has been approved by all three censor boards and will be releasing by the end of this year.

Zindagi Tamasha will also be screened at Busan International Film Festival which is held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea.
