My kid wants to replace food with mango. Is this okay or should I be worried?

Ideally, your kid should be having a balanced meal with protein, carbohydrates and fats but once in a while replacing food for fruit is okay. You could also make him a mango smoothie bowl with yogurt, mangoes, chia seeds and some nuts. That should essentially cover all the macro nutrients.

Is it safe to be ordering food at this time?

It’s always best and obviously more hygienic to be having home cooked food especially right now. If there’s something specific you’re craving, you can always look up a similar recipe and try to make it yourself till things get better.

What should a lactose intolerant person avoid and what alternatives are present to replace these foods?

Foods that contain lactose are milk, cream, yogurt, ice cream, cottage cheese and some other cheeses, sour cream, butter, whipped cream, milk powders and whey protein. It depends on the severity of your lactose intolerance. Some people tolerate foods with low lactose just fine while some cannot. They do make lactose free versions of milk now. You can also read labels on different products for allergen information.

I am 25 and I frequently feel like throwing up after eating. It's not like I am consuming very large portions, I used to have a bigger appetite in the past but these days, I just can't get myself to eat.

Try to address the root cause of your appetite being suppressed. Were you on some kind of diet? Have you lost weight? Have you developed an unhealthy relationship with food? Normally losing your appetite is a sign of stress, depression, fear of gaining weight, long term diets or an eating disorder. If either of those is the case, I recommend seeing a therapist.

If not, try to distract yourself while eating food so you’re not focused on how much you’re eating. You can also try to incorporate foods that are easily digested so you feel hungry again. Avoid complex carbs like brown rice, whole wheat flour, whole wheat pasta, bran bread etc because they will keep you fuller for longer
