Ethnic Fables

Ever since we entered 2020, we’ve been keeping an eye on the upcoming trends to help you stock up on the latest trends. If you haven’t got your hands on them yet then we got you covered. We’ve put our best foot fashion-forward to bring you a list of trends that are taking the fashion world by storm this year.

From runways to what has kept designers busy to popular celebrity picks, we have made sure to get these trends from the right sources. From what we have seen, 2020 is one fashionable year.

With pastel hues taking over the fashion scene, the classic ivory is also having a major moment and it’s definitely something that you cannot ignore. The ivory colour trend is super royal and a statement by itself. So no matter what outfit you wish to flaunt this festive season, ivory colour is sure to leave a lasting impression. And pairing your ivory outfit with a maroon dupatta can give your outfit that oomph factor it needs.

One trend we can’t seem to get enough of is detailed adornments on everything! Tassels can be seen everywhere from tassel earrings, tassel necklaces, tassels adorning handbags, tassels on shoes and even at the corners of your sleeves and at the border of your kurti. They are that perfect fashion accessory to brighten up and style any outfit. They add a bit of fun and flare and are perfect for summer!

This year, instead of sticking to plain old head-to-toe black, experiment pairing colours. Pink and grey is a great look which you can utilise all-year-round with some versatile pieces. There are no limitations with the way that you can use this clothing colour combination. Pink embroidery and lace work would add just the right amount of colour and life to your head-to-toe grey outfit.

When it comes to complementary and clashing colours, it can be hard to know which hues work together and which hues just don't. Really, it's down to trial and error and learning from your mistakes. Right now, there's a particular pairing doing the rounds which, on paper, really shouldn't work, but it somehow does. That colour combination is purple and green and it looks unexpectedly chic.

One thing that is common between all our favourite trends is the floral embroidery. Prints and embroideries in florals are evergreen and as they bloom into fashion we see a charm of pretty ethnic wear apparels wrapped up in their vales. Another trend we are loving this year is the pistachio green colour trend. Pistachio green is the colour set to dominate 2020. The soft hue feels fresh and looks good in both apparel and accessory forms.
