Born on August 16, 1946, in Delhi, India, Mr. Rahman's journey commenced amidst the backdrop of a rapidly changing world. Relocating with his parents to Rawalpindi, Pakistan, he received his foundational education at St. Mary's Town and Country School. His pursuit of higher education led him to the University of Karachi and later to the University of Wales, England.

Inheriting the rich legacy of his father, Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman, Mir Javed Rahman not only preserved but also propelled the Jang Group towards unprecedented heights in journalism. However, it was his profound connection with the weekly "Akhbar-e-Jehan" that truly defined his career. Often referring to it as his own progeny, he tirelessly labored to elevate "Akhbar-e-Jehan" to become the largest Urdu-language weekly magazine globally.

Assuming the mantle of Managing Editor at the tender age of 21 on January 15, 1967, Mr. Rahman demonstrated unwavering dedication to his responsibilities. Guided by the wisdom imparted by his father and drawing from insights gleaned from diverse historical magazines, he steered "Akhbar-e-Jehan" towards continual growth and relevance.

On June 30, 1968, Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman delegated additional duties to Mir Javed Rahman, which included supervising "Jang" Rawalpindi.
