INDIAN WOMAN JUMPS INTO WATERFALL AFTER QUARREL WITH PARENTS OVER USING MOBILE PHONE

On social media, a disturbing video of a woman diving into the Chitrakote Waterfalls in Chhattisgarh, India, has gone viral. The woman, who survived the 90-foot fall, reportedly took the action on Tuesday after receiving a warning from her parents for using a phone, according to Indian media.The woman can be seen in the video, which was posted on Twitter, standing at the edge of the Chitrakote Waterfalls in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region while water rushes rapidly down the cliff. She jumps a little while later. Locals can be heard pleading with her to stop in the background. Saraswati Maurya, who is 21 years old, was the woman in question. According to a media site in India, the incident happened on July 18 in the Chitrakoot Chowki neighbourhood.

The woman leapt after being reprimanded by her parents for using a mobile, according to the police inquiry into the incident. Later, she was given to the family. Vijay Dayaram, a Bastar collector, was told he couldn't verify the authenticity of the trending video. He continued by saying that they had tightened security and that the woman was secure. She took action after a family member stopped her from using her phone excessively, Dayaram said.
