The thug look of Sidharth Malhotra will take you by surprise

After four years of their first venture Hasee Toh Phasee, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra have reunited for Prashant Singh’s Jabariya Jodi. The film is based on the concept of groom kidnapping. In the first look, we see a groom slumped on a decorated wedding chair. It is obvious that he has been drugged and kidnapped by the two. Sidharth looks vastly different from his usual sophisticated self. With a craggy stubble and a glint in his eyes, he looks like a complete mischief maker. The outfit is like that of a desi ‘swag wala munda’. Suede boots, torn denims, a crumpled shirt with a jazzy waistcoast and a stole, the stylist has not left anything. Parineeti is wearing a pair of dhoti pants with a printed bralet teamed with a leather jacket with embellishments. Both of them look like rogues and the first look makes it evident.

Gold and Satyameva Jayate are expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club

Just like Sholay-Jai Santoshi Maa and Lagaan-Gadar, the clash between Gold and Satyameva Jayate has sent the cash registers ringing. Now let’s look at the solo collections of both the Bollywood biggies.

Starting with Gold, the historical sports drama took a humongous start with a collection of Rs 25.25 crore on its first day. With this figure, it turned out to be the biggest opener of Akshay Kumar till date. The positive word of mouth helped the film to stay smooth in the extended weekend, and it resulted in a staggering collection of Rs 70 crore in five days.

Coming to Satyameva Jayate, the commercial masala entertainer also gave John Abraham his biggest opener with a collection of Rs 20.52 crore on Day 1. Despite getting negative reviews from critics, it received a thumbs up from the moviegoers especially from the single screen audience. The film raked in Rs 60 crore in its extended opening weekend, which is great since it’s facing a stiff competition from Gold.
