Humayun Saeed finds himself in hot waters over misogynist dialogue delivery in ‘MPTH‘

Controversy Continues

The most highly ever rated Pakistani drama Meray Paas Tum Ho has finally come to an end (sadly for some), but it hasn’t stopped being a target to controversies. The lead actor of the drama, Humayun Saeed, has been summoned by Sindh High Court over the troublesome dialogues which he delivered in the drama, penned down by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Petitioner Sana Saleem allegedly said that the dialogue delivery in the drama commonly consisted of offensive dialogues about women throughout the drama. Saleem demanded an apology from MPTH's writer, actor and producer to the public for such offensive dialogues. She also mentioned the ill-famed ‘do takkay ki aurat’ dialogue which has created quite a stir amongst the public. The hearing has been adjourned to 13 February.
