B-town bigwigs who didn’t complete their education

Have you often wondered how your favourite Bollywood stars made it big at such an early age? The truth is, some of them dropped out of college to pursue acting and modelling, while others were homeschooled. Here is a list of few actors who did not complete their education and seem to have no regrets whatsoever.

Salman Khan

Bollywood’s bhai did his schooling from St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai. He then attended St. Xavier’s College but dropped out to start his career in the film industry. Surprisingly, he had already written three film scripts, even when he hadn’t started acting.

Kareena Kapoor

After studying commerce for two years at Mithibai College, Mumbai, Bebo enrolled herself at Government Law College. But after completing her first year, she decided to switch fields and began taking private lessons for acting.

Katrina Kaif

Due to Katrina’s mother’s dedication towards social causes, the family had to travel a lot. Constant relocation to different countries never gave this beauty queen the opportunity to attend school. So Katrina was homeschooled instead by a series of tutors.

Deepika Padukone

The Piku actress has won many hearts with her tremendous acting skills and infectious smile but unfortunately, had to leave her education in between. She enrolled at IGNOU for a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, but quit soon after to kick-start her modelling career.

Akshay Kumar

The Khiladi enrolled himself at the Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Mumbai for higher studies but dropped out after just a year to study martial arts.

Alia Bhatt

After completing her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School, Alia started her career as an actor in 2012 with Karan Johar’s movie Student of the Year. This is ironic since according to Alia, she was never really a good student and was always interested in outdoor activities instead.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya was extremely talented even as a kid. She is a trained dancer and has studied classical music for five years. She initially planned to pursue a career in medicine, but then she enrolled herself in the Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture. Later on, she dropped the idea in favour of a career in modelling.
